Dr. Rebecca Ann Walsh

     Assistant Professor
Rebecca Walsh is Assistant Professor of English and a program faculty member of the CRDM (Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media) Ph.D. program. She received her B.A. from Kenyon College and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining NC State, she taught at Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville, IL) and Duke University. Currently at work on a book project, Modernism's Geopoetics: The Cultural Politics of the Near and Far in Global American Poetry, she has published essays and presented papers on cultural studies approaches to space and place, race and postcoloniality, movement and migration, and feminist theory and women's literature. Between 2009 and 2013 she served as the faculty sponsor for the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society chapter on campus.
