What do you think is the key to success in college?

College is a means to an end. Every day will not be this glorious epiphany of learning. You are going to have rough spots to go through . Just keep your end goal in mind - and always ask yourself, "Is this path I'm going down really going to take me there?"

What do you want to do when you graduate?

I would like to use my engineering background for medical purposes. I think it's a great thing to teach doctors critical thinking skills. What I'd really like to do is apply for for scholarships to med schools in the U.K., because I've heard a lot of interesting things about how they teach medicine vs how we teach medicine. I'd like to get an overview of how they do it, then come back to the States with ideas on reforming medical school requirements to reflect a more scientific-critical thought background. I'm also doing really interesting research on osteoarthritis and that's led me to consider a career in orthopedics or orthopedic surgery.
