As
part of the University of North Carolina system, NC
State University is dedicated to keeping the cost of an exceptional
undergraduate education as low as possible. Especially when
compared with private colleges and universities, NC State's
historic commitment to access to higher education for all students
means that the cost of attending NC State is among the lowest
in the nation.

academically able students attending NC State do have opportunities
to compete for merit scholarships and academic programs offered
through the University, through private foundations, and through
the
University's
individual
colleges.
In
addition, the University is committed helping
incoming freshmen

selected to participate in Honors
- meet
the March 1 Financial
Aid Preference deadline.

The University's
Merit Awards Program, offers a significant number of
scholarships based on academic merit through an annual competition.
The
most well-known of these is the John
T. Caldwell Scholarship program.
The
Park Scholarship Program, funded by the Park Foundation of
Ithaca, NY in honor of NC State graduate Roy H. Park '31, is
one of the nation's premiere independent undergraduate scholarship
programs. For
