Student Honors Governing Board

The Student Honors Governing Board (SHGB) is your primary voice concerning the future of the UHP and is tasked to foster community and nurture academic scholarship within the program.

Each year, you will have the opportunity to elect SHGB members. The SHGB serves as a liason between the UHP administrative staff, Honors faculty, and the UHP student body. The SHGB Chair serves on and is a voting member of the University Honors Council.

At the beginning of each fall semester, the SHGB sponsors a reception to welcome new Honors students to the UHP. It also organizes and sponsors other social events for Honors students throughout the year.
