RA Application Re-Opens

Interested in serving the campus community? Consider a Resident Advisor position with University Housing. Resident Advisors live on campus and provide programming and mentorship to fellow students.

Becoming an RA is a unique learning and leadership experience. RAs also receive compensation for their time commitment, including a free single room, meal plan, stipend, and Resnet.
Candidate Requirements
- Candidates must be enrolled as a full time NC State student, maintaining at least 12 undergraduate credits or 9 graduate credits, and
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.70 or higher at the time of application. At the time of appointment, RAs must hold no less than a 2.70 cumulative grade point average and maintain both a 2.70 cumulative and semester grade point average once hired.
- Candidates must have no active record of University disciplinary action at the time of application or appointment.
- Candidates must have at least two (2) completed semesters of on-campus living experience, or other approved "similar experience," by July 2013.
- Candidates must complete 24 undergraduate credit hours prior to employment start date. Any exception to this policy is subject to review by University Housing administration.
- Candidates must register for and complete ECD 220 prior to first semester of employment. Interested candidates must register to take ECD 220 during the spring or summer semesters.
