Residential Network (ResNet)

The Residential Network (ResNet) is the residential computer network service provided to students living at NC State University. ResNet lets you connect your personal computer directly to NC State's computer network and, through the University network, to the Internet.

ResNet is automatically provided to all students living in University Housing residence halls and Wolf Village. To use ResNet with your computer you must have an Ethernet cable and adapter. System requirements and other information is available on the ResNet web site.

During check-in, ResNet will have desks set up in various locations on campus. If you need assistance with your network connection or need antivirus software installed, please consult a technician at one of the desks or call the NC State University Help Desk at 515-HELP (4357).

ResNet hours during Fall Check-In

  • Saturday, Aug. 16, noon - 6 pm
  • Sunday, Aug. 17, noon - 6 pm

After check-in, students should contact ResNet for help by sending an email or by calling the NC State University Help Desk at 515-HELP (4357).
