Summer Conference Services

Meals

While staying with us at NC State, we hope you take advantage of our University's dining services. On-campus options include cafeteria-style meals, convenience stores and snack bars. Also available to our conference guests are banquet and catering services for special meals and buffets.

Parking

Parking is something no one likes to worry about, so we've taken the worry away! If your participants plan to bring a car to campus, parking permits can be provided for a small fee.

Recreational Facilities

The University has a wide variety of recreational facilities available for conference guests. Indoor and outdoor sports and fitness equipment are available. Tennis and basketball courts and weight rooms can be part of your stay at NC State. Conference participants will be charged a minimal fee for the use of indoor gyms and weight rooms. For more information visit the Carmichael Complex Web site and read about the Group Gym Membership. Also visit the Raleigh Parks and Recreational department and print out the form for Group Rate Requests.

Communication Service

If your participants have business in the area or want to touch base with home, we offer room telephone service. For an additional fee, Conference Services will supply local phone service, long distance access, and even voice mail services. All rooms have wired high-speed Internet access. If you would like direct access we can provide a ResNet ID for a nominal fee. We can also provide Unity computer IDs for groups wishing to use a campus computer lab.

Meeting Space

Most residence halls on campus have lounges and common areas which can comfortably accommodate approximately 25 people. However, if you need more formal meeting rooms, space is available on other parts of our campus. The University Student Center as well as academic buildings offer traditional meeting rooms and classroom space. The following documents describe these options and are in PDF format (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them).

Floor Plans:

Health Services

During the summer sessions Student Health Services hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday. For urgent care, the camper/visitor should arrive at SHS by 4:00 p.m. to assure adequate time to be treated before SHS closes. After 4:00 p.m., the visitor/camper will need to go to a local emergency room or an urgent care center.

SHS is totally supported by student health fees and user charges. Please read the SHS guidelines for treating official visitors and non-enrolled "students" during summer sessions.

Conference Logistics

Additional conference support such as on-site and pre-registration assistance, special events, off-site rentals, and assistance with other related activities is available through our office.

For additional information on the details of and fees for these services, please e-mail or call Lynne Barbour at 919-515-4398.
