Syme
Hall offers double-occupancy rooms, which open onto an interior hallway
and each floor shares bathroom facilities. A large lounge,
a small meeting room and kitchen are located on the ground floor and
are available for residents to use. Additionally, Syme Hall is a
smoke and alcohol-free facility.
Each air-conditioned room is equipped with Internet connections, access to cable TV (for an extra charge) a mini fridge and microwave. Syme Hall is one of three buildings that form the Triad. In the courtyard, there is a pavilion that is great for relaxing and enjoying the architecture of the surrounding buildings. It is conveniently located near the College of Design and the College of Education; and Pullen Park (a City of Raleigh public park) is just across the street. The Honors Village Commons is conveniently located and includes a 24-hour service desk, a convenience store, a computer lab, mailboxes, and meeting space to serve the residents of this hall.
Syme Hall hosts the Students Advocating Youth (SAY) Living and Learning village. The SAY Village is focused on the educational, social, political, multi-cultural and technological aspects that impact the lives of children both locally and globally.
