HARP - Housing Application Renewal Process

The Housing Application Renewal Process (HARP) is an online system enabling students to choose a room, a roommate and to assign themselves to available rooms via the web. To participate in HARP only requires that you be a registered student for the 2009 spring semester.

Completion of the Housing Application Renewal Process binds you to either the Residence Hall Agreement (PDF) or Wolf Village Agreement (PDF) for the fall 2009 and spring 2010 semesters and signifies that you have received, read and agreed to abide by all conditions, terms and policies contained in the Agreements.

In addition, completion of the process authorizes University Housing to send a $200 non-refundable partial payment charge to the University Cashier’s Office.

HARP Option 4 will reopen March 10 at 7:30 a.m. for students who missed the opportunity to sign up for on-campus housing during the published dates or students who would like to make changes as well.

Students may view their room assignment by logging into the MyPack Portal and selecting Student Self Service > University Housing. Once you are on the Housing Self Service Page, select View Assignment.

If you are a registered off-campus student for the 2009 spring semester, you can participate in HARP during Option 4. The only difference is that the computer system will have you first complete a Housing Application and once that is completed, you will automatically be taken to the HARP application to signup for a room.

Termination Charges

There is a termination charge of $200 for students who cancel by June 30.

Students who cancel their housing on or after July 1 through July 31 will be charged 25 percent of the fall semester rent.
Registered students who cancel their housing on or after August 1 will be charged 50 percent of the housing cost for the fall and spring semesters, plus applicable daily charges.

The registration status of each student who cancels housing prior to the first day of check-in will be reviewed after the beginning of the semester and credits or charges will be issued accordingly.

If you are a registered student, full termination charges will apply.

If you are not a registered student, you will be credited all but $200. See Termination Charges of the Residence Hall (PDF) or Wolf Village Agreement (PDF) for further information.

Below, you’ll find links to information about both Residence Hall and Wolf Village housing options. Please take a few minutes to review the information before completing the application.

ResNet

The ResNet fee for 2009-10 is $90 per semester per person.  Students are automatically charged for ResNet Service. Students are responsible for purchasing the necessary networking hardware (such as Ethernet adapters and cables) to connect your computer to the campus network.  Network adapters for most popular computer models are available from the NC State Bookstore.

Residence Halls

HARP options will take place February 16 - 27. If you have any questions, please contact us at (919) 515-2440, or via email.

Go to the Residence Halls information and application page.

Wolf Village

Beginning Tuesday, January 19, current Wolf Village residents wishing to return to Wolf Village for 2009-2010 or eligible residence hall students must complete the 2009-2010 Housing request. HARP will be far easier if students complete the Housing Request prior to the beginning of HARP on February 16. The application and HARP can be completed at the same time, but it will be slower and students may lose the unit they are considering.
