Talley & ReynoldsUniversity Housing provides services, facilities, and programs to more than 8,200 students living on the North Carolina State University campus. The department, consistent with the academic mission of the University, strives to create positive growth environments for students by providing programs, services, and facilities that promote educational, social, and cultural development. University Housing is responsible for the development, administration, and management of all facilities, operations, and programming involving 20 residence halls, and 1,615 apartments on the NC State campus.

Additionally, University Housing offers a variety of student employment opportunities that promote leadership and career skills development, which include communication, organizational skills, strong work ethic, motivation, honesty and integrity, flexibility and adaptability, interpersonal skills,  analytical skills, and computer skills. Many of these skills and abilities can be learned through one of the student positions with University Housing.
