Work for Housing

University Housing provides services, facilities, and programs to more than 8,200 students living on the North Carolina State University campus. Consistent with the academic mission of the University, this department strives to create positive growth environments for students by providing programs, services, and facilities that promote educational, social, and cultural development. University Housing is responsible for the development, administration, and management of all facilities, operations, and programming involving 20 residence halls, and 1,615 apartments on the NC State campus.

University Housing's staff consists of professional and support positions, such as Directors, Associate Directors, Assistant Directors, Community Directors, Administrative Support Associates, and Facility Maintenance Technicians. When positions become available, vacancy announcements are posted on the University's website (http://jobs.ncsu.edu, search by department: University Housing).

University Housing's staff also consists of a variety of student employment positions that promote leadership and career skills development, which include communication, organizational skills, strong work ethic, motivation, honesty and integrity, flexibility and adaptability, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and computer skills. Many of these skills and abilities can be learned through one of the University Housing student positions listed below.
