The Housing Judicial Board is a great opportunity to not only give back to your community but also take on a leadership position within University Housing at NC State. Below you will find the answers to some commonly asked questions about the Housing Judicial Board as well as all of the application materials.
What is the Housing Judicial Board?
The Housing Judicial Board is a panel of residents, who have been selected and trained to adjudicate alleged student violations. It is the responsibility of this board to hear testimony, review evidence, to attach responsibility, and render sanctions.
Specific Requirements for Officers
Housing Judicial Board Officers must meet the following requirements:
- You must have and maintain an overall GPA of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- You must reside within University Housing.
- You CANNOT have an active disciplinary record with NC State and/or University Housing.
- You must be able to attend Judicial Board Training on September 14, 2008.
How do I apply?
Complete all of application information below and submit it on line at http://www.ncsu.edu/housing/index.php. In order for your application to be considered complete you must fill in all REQUIRED fields and complete the case study portion of the application.
Are there Interviews?
All applicants who meet the minimum requirements can expect to be interviewed during one of the interview days from September 7 - 11, 2008
More specific interview information will follow once you submit your completed application. Schedule is subject to change. Final decisions will be made on September 12, 2008.
Training you say?
That’s right. If selected, you will become part of a very important team within University Housing and we want to make sure that you have all the tools necessary in order to be successful. Training for all successful candidates will take place on September 14, 2008 from 2pm - 5pm. Schedule is subject to change.
