University Housing is committed to creating a living and learning experience by providing educational opportunities for all residents. These opportunities primarily focus on academic success, engagement, civility, diversity and leadership. The criteria provided for each outcome listed below demonstrates a progression of learning.

Outcome 1: Acquire skills to enhance their academic success
Criteria
- Formulate personal academic goals
- Implement strategies to obtain academic goals
- Identify opportunities to connect with faculty and advisors outside of the classroom
- Utilize resources within University Housing to support academic success
- Participate in co-curricular activities that support their academic goals
- Evaluate their own academic success
Outcome 2: Be actively engaged in the campus community
Criteria (**there is not a progression to this outcome**)
- Articulate the importance of involvement in their community
- Demonstrate the ability to create connections
- Exhibit an investment in the campus community
Outcome 3: Develop the ability to interact with others in a civil manner
Criteria
- Demonstrate skill in effective communication
- Consider diverse perspectives
- Utilize appropriate strategies for conflict resolution
Outcome 4: Develop competencies necessary to become contributing members of a diverse and multicultural world.
Criteria
- Demonstrate awareness of issues and topics related to multicultural competence
- Demonstrate knowledge of diverse cultures and oppressed groups (i.e. history, traditions, values, customs, resources, issues)
- Demonstrate skill in multicultural competence
Outcome 5: Develop and strengthen individual leadership ability
Criteria
- Participate in leadership opportunities (ie. Attend meetings, become a committee member)
- Articulate fundamental concepts of leadership theories and models
- Apply leadership competencies
