Visitors to campus should visit the Transportation website for parking passes and permits before visiting campus.
**Please note that the gate on Dan Allen Drive does not allow visitors to pass through between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Only service and emergency vehicles may pass through the gate during business hours. Visitors trying to park at the Dan Allen Parking Deck should approach Dan Allen Drive from Hillsborough Street. You will be able to enter the Parking Deck before approaching the gate.
Directions
From Durham via US 70
Take US 70 toward downtown Raleigh (US 70 turns into Glenwood Avenue). Follow Glenwood Avenue to Oberlin Road. Turn right onto Oberlin Road (approximately 3 miles). Turn right onto Hillsborough Street. Take an immediate left at Pullen Road. Follow Pullen Road and veer right onto Western Blvd. At the second light, turn right on to Dan Allen Drive. The University Housing Office is located on the right at the light for Thurman Drive, just before the gate.
From Chapel Hill, Durham and RDU Airport via I-40
Take I-40 East to Raleigh. At the I-40/Wade Avenue split, stay right for the Wade Ave. exit. At the third stoplight, turn right onto Faircloth Street. Continue on Faircloth (which turns into Gorman Street). Turn left onto Sullivan Drive at the intersection of Gorman and Ligon Streets. Continue on Sullivan until it ends at Dan Allen Drive. Turn left on to Dan Allen Drive. The University Housing Office is located on the right at the light for Thurman Drive, just before the gate.
From Fayetteville via US 401
Take US 401 to Raleigh. Then take I-40 West to Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn left onto Western Boulevard. Take the first right on to Dan Allen Drive. The University Housing Office is located on the right at the light for Thurman Drive, just before the gate.
From Henderson via US 1
Take US 1 (which turns into Capital Boulevard) through downtown Raleigh. Turn right onto Western Blvd. Follow Western Blvd. past Avent Ferry Road. At the next light, turn right on to Dan Allen Drive. The University Housing Office is located on the right at the light for Thurman Drive, just before the gate.
From Rocky Mount via US 64
Take US 64 West toward Raleigh. US 64 West will merge with East I-440 (Inner Beltline). After approximately seven miles, exit onto Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn left onto Western Boulevard. Take the first right on to Dan Allen Drive. The University Housing Office is located on the right at the light for Thurman Drive, just before the gate.
From out of state via I-95 South
Take I-95 South to I-85 South. Then take US 1 (which turns into Capital Boulevard) to through downtown Raleigh. Turn right onto Western Blvd. Follow Western Blvd. past Avent Ferry Road. From out of state via I-95 North
