Discover Disc Golf on Centennial Campus
Contact: Matt Miller
Come out and play disc golf with Campus Recreation! Located on Centiennial Campus near Lake Raleigh is a 9-hole Disc Golf Course. This challenging, rustic course is available free of charge for NC State Students, faculty and staff.
To kick off the establishment of the course, Campus Recreation and Carmichael Complex will be holding the event "Discover Disc Golf" on Tuesday, September 22nd from 12:15 pm-1:30 pm. Included in the event will be free instructional clinics by some of the top disc golf players in the area, course tours, free food and giveaways.
Nestled in the wooded terrain that borders lake Raleigh on Centennial Campus, you will find NC State's newest recreational offering, disc golf. The nine-hole course is tight, wooded and hilly (be sure to wear comfortable shoes), and offers a layout that is short, yet challenges your accuracy as it weaves through the trees that border the lake. Whether you're an expert or a novice, this course offers a great venue to sharpen your skills and learn the game.
For more information, see the online flier (PDF) and course map (PDF) that shows the layout and distances.
