Office of New Student Orientation recruiting students
Contact: Kathleen Curp
The Office of New Student Orientation is currently recruiting students and accepting applications for the Summer 2010 Orientation Counselor (OC) positions. Students who are selected will represent NC State during the summer orientation programs by assisting incoming students in learning about the academic and social opportunities at NC State.
Orientation Counselors will gain leadership and professional experience in addition to meeting and working with administrators, faculty, staff, and students across campus. OCs also plan and facilitate small group meetings, aid students in understanding academic requirements, and serve as academic and social role models. As a vital member of this dynamic team, Orientation Counselors enjoy a memorable experience while providing a valuable service to the university.
OC candidates must be full-time undergraduate students in Spring & Fall 2010, have a minimum 2.5 GPA throughout employment, be in good standing with the university, demonstrate leadership ability, and have strong communication and organizational skills. Interested candidates should submit an on-line application at www.ncsu.edu/orientation/recruitment by October 19 for priority consideration; the application deadline is November 9th. Please email Kathleen Curp with any questions.
