Alexander Global Village
Students who elect to live in the Alexander Global Village are those interested in living and interacting with people from differing backgrounds, experiences, countries, and viewpoints. The community’s focus is one of global awareness, understanding, and experience.
Residential Experience
The Global Village located in Alexander Residence Hall focuses on introducing International Students to American Culture, exposing American students to other cultures and making the entire community aware of global issues.
Students must complete an application for acceptance into the Global Village, as there are a limited number of spaces available.
Program Features
- the pairing of International Students and American Students as roommates
- student Ambassadors to assist in acclimating International Students to American Culture
- a faculty-led programming series on global and cultural issues, through a partnership with CHASS
- discussion programs and excursions focusing on international and global awareness
Whether you are new to on-campus housing, or desiring to transfer into Alexander from another NCSU residence hall, you will need to complete an online application. This is an additional application and you must have a completed University Housing contract to be accepted into AGV.
