University Housing and ARTS NC State are
collaborating to establish the Arts Village opening Fall 2007. The Arts Village
will unite students from various personal and academic backgrounds who have
a passion for the arts and expose them to theater, visual arts & crafts,
music and dance as well as provide them with significant and exciting opportunities
to develop their creativity, engage with the arts on campus and in the community,
interact with NC State faculty and staff, and serve as a creative resource
for the campus community as a whole.
The Arts Village is located on the third floor of Turlington Residence Hall and is conveniently located near Price Music Center, Stewart Theatre, and the Greg Museum of Art & Design– a hub of arts activity on campus. Turlington Hall is a small community of 163 residents and features a traditional residence hall with rooms off of a common corridor and two shared bathrooms per floor. Turlington rooms are good sized, air conditioned, freshly painted and have newly refinished hardwood floors, new room sinks and new dressers, desks, and loftable beds.
