What Else Should You Expect?

A variety of games and activities focused around the 125th Anniversary will offered, for example:

Founders Day Era (1887)- Pass the NC State Birthday Present game

  • This is a new spin on the traditional musical chairs. Participants will take their seat and as the music plays, they pass the present around until the music stops. The person with the present at the time the music stops, gets to peel one layer of wrapping paper. The process continues until the final layer is unwrapped. The last person to unwrap the present gets to keep their NC State 125th Birthday present!

Roaring 20’s Era (1920’s)- Games of Chance

  • Step right up and try your luck at Roulette, Black Jack, the money wheel or one of the slot machines. Each participant will receive $500 of funny money to play the games of your choice. No gambling will take place so remember this is just for fun!

Funtastic 40’s Era (1940’s)- Bingo

  • Bingo was introduced to Americans in the 1940’s after the Great Depression. This truly “Old School” game doesn’t use computers, electric or calculators and can be played just about anywhere. Pony up to the table and see if you can spell B-I-N-G-O!

Love and Happiness Era (1950’s & 1960’s)- Tricycle Race, TWIST contest & Karaoke

  • You will have the opportunity to hop on an oversized Tri-cycle and race around a course to see who has the most fun and who was the fastest!
  • For the first time ever- Staff are encouraged to show their coolest moves at 11:30am or 12:30pm to see who the TWIST champion will be (shoes are optional)!
  • Calling Al Green, Elvis and Patsy Cline to the stage… Employees can belt out their favorite songs on our Karaoke Stage!

National Championship Era (1970’s & 1980’s)- Champions Basketball Shoot-Out

  • To be the CHAMP, you must beat the CHAMP. This game is difficult so employees must make all five shots during the shoot-out in order to win! Areas on the court will be themed after NC State National Champions: David Thompson, Norm Sloan, Jimmy Valvano, Lorenzo Charles and future champion- Coach Mark Gottfried!

New Millennium & Beyond Era (1990’s- Today)- Wolfpack Trivia Fusion

  • Employees can put a team together to compete in the Wolfpack Trivia Fusion contest. Put on your thinking caps and challenge your friends. The games will feature Name that Tune, Current Events and NC State University Facts.
