Employee Awards for Excellence
University Awards for Excellence
The University Awards for Excellence program recognizes the accomplishments and achievements of permanent NC State employees at both the unit and University levels who do not hold faculty rank.
Annually, the 17 University units/colleges collectively select 50 employees to recognize as award recipients for their respective college/units. Each college/unit submits their award recipients to the University Award for Excellence selection committee to determine the 5 University-level winners (4 SPA and 1 EPA). Human Resources then submits these 5 University-level winners to the NC Office of State Personnel for consideration in the Governor's Awards for Excellence program.
Qualifications for award recipients are:
- Must be a permanent NC State employee
(SPA or EPA staff who do not hold faculty
rank at either college or unit levels). - Nominees must have no documented disciplinary actions against them within the preceding 18 months from date of issuance or have no active disciplinary actions pending.
- All nominations must be approved by the employee’s supervisor for submission.
