Term Details - Certification
Certification is the determination by an insurer (or an organization that conducts its utilization reviews for the insurer) that a patient’s hospital admission, continued hospital stay, or other healthcare services have been reviewed and comply with the plan’s requirements, in order to be considered a covered expense.
