Term Details - Co-Pay
A co-pay is a fixed amount that is paid directly (out-of-pocket) by a patient who receives healthcare services. In some PPOs, for instance, patients pay a flat $25 co-payment for each doctor visit, or a co-pay of $20 for each drug prescription.
