Term Details - Managed Care Plan
A managed care plan is any healthcare plan that provides incentives to participants for using providers in the plan’s network. Some managed care plans (like HMOs) may limit coverage exclusively to care obtained from network providers. Other plans (like PPOs) pay more if the member obtains care from within the network, but will pay something for covered services obtained from non-network providers.
