Term Details - Inactive Disciplinary Action

A disciplinary action that cannot be the basis for further disciplinary action on any basis. A disciplinary action becomes inactive when (1) The manager or supervisor notes in the employee’s personnel file that the reasons for the disciplinary action have been resolved or corrected; or (2) For performance-related disciplinary actions, the performance evaluation process documents an overall rating that reflects a rating of GOOD or higher and a rating of GOOD or higher in the area cited in the written warning or other disciplinary action, or (3) 18 months have passed since issuance of the action without another disciplinary action having been issued.
