Term Details - Discharge for Cause

Any employee occupying an EPA position may be discharged for stated cause. Stated causes for discharge shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, incompetence, unsatisfactory performance, neglect of duty, or misconduct that interferes with the capacity of the employee to perform effectively the requirements of his or her employment. Prior to discharging any EPA employee, it is necessary to contact Employee Relations.
