International Employment (IE) assists campus departments in sponsoring international employees for temporary nonimmigrant visa classifications (Bs, E-3s, H-1Bs, Os, TNs) and also for permanent residence. IE stays current with relevant U.S. Citizenship and Immigrant Service (USCIS, formerly INS), Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and Department of Labor regulations and policies, and provides education to the university community to facilitate understanding and compliance. IE is also responsible for monitoring and auditing the I-9 and E-Verify processes and ensuring compliance with federal employment eligibility regulations.

Important Notice: USCIS Fee Increase!
As of November 23, 2010, USCIS will increase filing fees for over 30 petitions and applications, including H-1B petitions (up to $325 from $320), I-140 immigrant petitions (up to $580 from $475), and premium processing requests (up to $1,225 from $1,000).
