New Employee Orientation
Welcome to NC State University's New Employee Orientation Program, which helps to acclimate new employees to the University and ensure a successful beginning. Within their FIRST 30 DAYS of employment, ALL PERMANENT EMPLOYEES, part-time or full-time, MUST attend all portions of the one-day New Employee Orientation.
Orientation for New Employees, one-day session: (NEO)
This full-day orientation reviews employee rights and responsibilities as well as the University's services and programs available to employees. Other topics covered include Benefits, Payroll, Environmental Health and Public Safety, Diversity initiatives, Discrimination Harassment Prevention and Response (DHPR), and IT Services. During the Benefits section Faculty & Staff learn about the many benefit plans available and how to enroll.
Part-time employees working less than 30 hours per week, but more than 20 hours per week, are eligible for some voluntary benefits paid fully by the employee. Part-time employees who are eligible for voluntary benefits may stay for the Benefits portion of the orientation.

How To Register for NEO
There are two options for scheduling your NEO:
Your department's HR representative can schedule your NEO session for you, and you will receive a confirmation email listing the date, time, and location of your session.
OR
If your Unity ID and password have been issued to you, you may schedule your own NEO session by logging into the secure MyPACK Portal ; from the portal's 'Main Menu' tab, use the following path: Employee Self Service > Learning and Development > Request Training Enrollment. Then, search for the Course ID: NEO100. Follow the remaining instructions to select an available orientation session and submit your training request. You will receive an email confirming your registration listing the date, time, and location of your session.
Location of NEO Sessions
All New Employee Orientation sessions are held in the first-floor training room (Room 101) of the Administrative Services Building II, on Sullivan Drive. Campus maps and additional directions to NC State University are available on the NC State University Campus Map/Directions page.
Parking
Parking on campus is by permit only. You will need a "C" permit to park in the Admin II lot or in the Varsity Drive parking deck nearby. If you do not have a permit, report to Orientation to receive a temporary parking pass and further instructions
Lunch
You will receive a free lunch ticket to Fountain Dining or Clark Hall. Please note that the dining hall may be closed when students are on break. www.ncsudining.com
