What's the Next New Thing?

Creativity, iNC

As ideas become the new currency of the economy, forward-thinking cities, regions and nations are assembling their creative ecosystems – the network of people, organizations and activities that generate creativity and economic value.

IEI has defined creativity as an idea that leads to non-incremental or transformative products, services and processes. IEI’s work focuses on creative outputs with economic impact, whether through the marketplace or social innovation. Through its program, Creativity, iNC, IEI seeks to focus attention on, and response to, the critical need to develop the creative ecosystem in North Carolina.
