Community Forums
The Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) was pleased to partner with UNC-TV and PBS's Blueprint America to convene Community Forums in the Triad and Fort Bragg regions in July. Although the two conversations were unique to each region, a common thread emerged: the need to explore public-private-partnerships (PPPs) as a financing option to build and sustain the regions' infrastructure needs.
Based on this output, IEI and UNC-TV will be hosting two webinars in late August to further examine the use of PPPs in North Carolina as a financing option available to local governments as they search for new ways to pay for the roads, schools and water lines required. Stay tuned for more details.
In the meantime, below you will find materials that offered support to the forums' discussion, including powerpoint presentations and answers to our survey questions.
