The ice hockey club at NC State is in an expansion era. The club now consists of three teams. The "A" team, which is a very competitive team playing other ACC schools as part of the Atlantic Coast Conference Hockey League (ACCHL). The "A" team was the ACCHL Regular Season Champions in 2001. The "B" team is just as competitive and participates in the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference (BRHC). The club has been attempting to form a women's team. Opportunities are available for those interested. Tryouts are held at the beginning of the season shortly after school starts in the fall. Information on tryouts can be found on the team's website.
