The sailing club boasts
the title of "oldest existing sport
club at the University" having been around since the mid 1950's.
There are three main aspects to the club: instruction, recreation,
& racing. The club encourages people interested in sailing
to come out and learn the sport! You do not need to have any experience
to join the Sailing Club. Members can take advantage of the club's
fleet of eight and free clinics given throughout the year. The
club's sailing team competes in intercollegiate regattas as well
as other large races throughout the Southeast. Lake Wheeler is
the club's home lake.
