W. Randolph Woodson was installed as North Carolina State University's 14th chancellor in a ceremony held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at NC State's Reynolds Coliseum. The ceremony, with the theme of "Locally responsive. Globally engaged," highlights more than a week of celebrations, symposia and activities to honor the new chancellor.
In his remarks, Chancellor Woodson promised that NC State would continue to do all it could to ensure that faculty and students are increasingly successful in their efforts, both in the classroom and beyond; to continue to engage our economic and research partners, in order to support North Carolina's economic development and well-being; and strive to cast itself as one university with a breadth of experience and expertise that is widespread across its Colleges and many disciplines.

Entrepreneurs Lecture Series &
NC State Start-up Companies Showcase
3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. | McKimmon Center
Join us for the Entrepreneurs Lecture Series featuring NC State alumnus Peter Lehrer, co-founder of Lehrer McGovern. The program will feature the inspirational documentary "Dream Builders" which details Mr. Lehrer's extraordinary entrepreneurial career. In addition, the event will showcase start-up companies launched from NC State and creating jobs in North Carolina.

The Installation of W. Randolph Woodson
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | Reynolds Coliseum
The Board of Trustees of North Carolina State University invites you to attend the installation of Chancellor W. Randolph Woodson — Fourteenth Chancellor of the University.
This event is free of charge. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends of the University, and the general public are encouraged to attend. Faculty are encouraged to bring their regalia; those who will participate in the processional should arrive before 10:00 am.
Strategic Town Hall Meeting
2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Stewart Theatre, Talley Student Center
This town-hall-style meeting scheduled on the 26th is being planned in coordination with the Strategic Planning Committee and will provide an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to communicate with campus leadership and members of the nine Strategic Planning Task Force Committees.
Reception following Town Hall Meeting
4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. | 2nd Floor Lobby, Talley Student Center
NC State's college deans will host a reception for students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends after the Strategic Town Hall Meeting. Guests are also invited to tour the The Gregg Museum of Art & Design.

The Chancellor's Ice Cream Dream
12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. | The Brickyard, by D. H. Hill Library
Meet the chancellor and sample NC State's newest ice cream flavor – which will be part of the largest sundae in NC State history. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to meet the chancellor, who will introduce the Wolfpack world to his own signature ice cream.
Celebrating Faculty Research and Scholarship Event
4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Auditorium, D.H. Hill Library
Held in the West Wing Auditorium and the Special Collections Reading Room of the D.H. Hill Library, Celebrating Faculty Research and Scholarship will highlight the collective achievements and scholarship of NC State's faculty while featuring Trudy Mackay as speaker, a renowned researcher from the faculty who represents the very best of scholarship.

The NCSU Libraries will celebrate and welcome the 14th chancellor of NC State, Chancellor W. Randolph Woodson, through an exhibit on display at D.H. Hill Library from October 25 through December 20.
