Operational Audit

At the beginning of fiscal year 2004, the Internal Audit Division divided into two departments: officially establishing the original function as the Operational Audit Department and creating the new IT Audit Department. Using our well-established continuous improvement process over the last several years, the Operational Audit Department has refined its approach to one that stresses proactively working with University Management in support of University-wide goals.

This means that we not only perform the familiar, traditional audits focusing on internal control effectiveness and operational process analysis and improvement, but we also regularly attend University business meetings, participate in work groups, and meet with all levels of University Management to continually assess areas of risk and potential improvement across campus.
