You can determine which version of Symantec AntiVirus you have by doing the following:
- Double-click on the slanted yellow Symantec shield in your system tray at the lower right of your screen.
- On the right side of the window that appears, look in the Program Versions section. The version you have will appear after the word Program; e.g., 9.0.5 1000, as in the following illustration.

Alternatively, you can:
- Click on the green Start button, usually in the lower left corner of your screen.
- Select All Programs.
- Hold your cursor on Symantec Client Security in the list of programs.
- From the flyout menu that appears, select Symantec AntiVirus.
- On the right side of the window that appears, look in the Program Versions section. The version you have will appear after the word Program; e.g., 9.0.5 1000, as in the above illustration.
