Which Version of Symantec AntiVirus Do I Have?

 

You can determine which version of Symantec AntiVirus you have by doing the following:

  1. Double-click on the slanted yellow Symantec shield in your system tray at the lower right of your screen.
  2. On the right side of the window that appears, look in the Program Versions section. The version you have will appear after the word Program; e.g., 9.0.5 1000, as in the following illustration.

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Click on the green Start button, usually in the lower left corner of your screen.
  2. Select All Programs.
  3. Hold your cursor on Symantec Client Security in the list of programs.
  4. From the flyout menu that appears, select Symantec AntiVirus.
  5. On the right side of the window that appears, look in the Program Versions section. The version you have will appear after the word Program; e.g., 9.0.5 1000, as in the above illustration.
