Suspend / Reactivate Message Delivery - Vacation Mode -

How to suspend message delivery

By using the nomail (also known as vacation) option in the set list value address, you can specify the period of time (days, weeks, months) that you want to suspend receiving email messages from the list server.

Example(s):

  • set listname nomail
  • set listname nomail-4d

You can specify times such as 1week, 2months, 3days and you can leave off all but the first letter (e.g., 1w, 2m, 3d).

How to reactivate message delivery

Message delivery will automatically resume after the time specifiec in the nomail command, or you my reactivate email delivery sooner by using the command:

  • set listname each
