Webmail Tutorial

This tutorial is designed to help you begin using Webmail. For an overview of email basics, see Introduction to Email at NC State. To configure your computer to use an email client other than Webmail (e.g., Mozilla Mail, Outlook), see Email Setup.

What you'll need for Webmail:

• An IMAP email account. If your Unity account was set up in or after Fall 2000, you already have one.
• Sufficient storage space in your email account.
  • You can reallocate your personal file storage space to make more available for email.
  • You may need to follow the procedure for deleting messages when your space is full (over quota).
• A Web browser. For Webmail, Information Technology recommends Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
• A login "Name" and "Password," which is the same as your Unity ID and password.
