Command List for PICO
The commands you can use in PICO are listed across the bottom of the
screen. Remember, ^ symbolizes the control key. ^G means to hold down the
control key and press G.
^G Help. More information on the commands.
^X Exit PICO
^O Save a PICO file
^J Justify text within a paragraph. This command will fill
in paragraphs.
^R Insert a existing file into PICO.
^W Find a word or character string in the PICO file.
^Y Go back to the previous page.
^V Go to the next page.
^K Cuts the line of text where the cursor is located.
^U Uncuts the last text cut.
^C Gives you the exact location of your cursor within
the file.
^T Run the spell checker.
When you have selected ^O to save a file or ^R to insert a file, you
will be prompted for a file name. You will also be given the following
new options:
^C Cancels the command.
^T Gives you a list of files in your home directory.
If you select a file that already exists, PICO will
ask you if you want to overwrite the file.
