The purpose of this site is to provide a central location of up-to-date information for the entire campus community about software licensing and acquisition.
By making this information available, faculty, staff and students can take advantage of the many licensing agreements, reducing the overall cost of software licensing for the university.

| 10.23.2009 | NCSU Bookstores will have the Windows 7 Pro upgrade available sometime in mid November. The upgrade will cost $39.99 and be available in both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This upgrade is for those customers not covered under the Windows Campus agreement or for customers who purchased Windows based computers before June 26th. There will be no Home Use Program for Windows 7 offered by Software Licensing Management. |

| 9.24.2009 | SAS 9.2 will be available for distribution some time in the Spring semester. We regret that we are unable to make this available sooner, but the application's current size makes it unsuitable for deployment. We are currently working with SAS to come up with alternative solutions and they are working to create a release that should work better for our customer base. We regret this delay, but we want to ensure the most trouble free distribution for SAS 9.2 at NC State. |

If you participate in NC State's Windows Campus Agreement or if you have purchased Windows and have current Software Assurance, you are entitled to this upgrade. The ESRI license has been renewed for those who access the ESRI license server. The license is valid until July 31, 2010. |

Faculty and staff may now request ESRI keyless license files that allow the user to run concurrent versions of ArcGIS with being connected to the internet and without having to purchase a USB hardware key. | 6.05.2009 | Microsoft Office Home Use Program Faculty and Staff can now purchase Office for their home computer through the Microsoft's Home Use Program (HUP ).
