Windows 7 Information
Windows 7 Enterprise has been released and is now available to those customers who have Software Assurance for Windows. For those who purchased Windows under NC State's Microsoft Select Agreement and included Software Assurance, please send your upgrade request to software@ncsu.edu. Please be sure to provide a copy of your invoice to validate your Windows with Software Assurance purchase.
If your college or department is a partner in NC State's Microsoft Windows Campus Agreement, and you are faculty or staff, you are entitled to the upgrade. The licensing representative of each of the following Windows Campus Agreement partners has already been notified how to obtain the Windows 7 upgrade.

- College of Design
- College of Education
- College of Engineering (ITECS, ISE, MSE & NE)
- College of Natural Resources
- College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences
- College of Textiles
- DELTA
- Electrical and Computing Engineering
- The Friday Institute
- Libraries
- Office of Information Technology
- Staff Senate
If you are not a partner in NC State's Microsoft Windows Campus Agreement or did not purchase Software Assurance, you will need to purchase Windows 7 through our Select Agreement if you are looking to purchase for departmental use.
The Campus bookstore sells Windows 7 Pro upgrades (for personal use). The price will be $79.99. They have both the 32-bit and 64-bit version available.
