How to Get This Software

License or Agreement

NC State has two agreements in which colleges, departments or students can take advantage.

Academic Select Agreement – entitles colleges, departments, faculty and staff to purchase any Microsoft products for campus use at lower negotiated prices. The software is licensed per computer.  This agreement expires July 31, 2010.

See the current price list from SHI for Academic Select products.

To obtain volume licensing keys for Microsoft software purchased under the Academic Select Agreement, see the Obtaining a Microsoft VLK page.

Student (Faculty/Staff) Select Agreement – An extension of the Academic Select Agreement that provides Office and Windows XP to students, faculty and staff at a greatly reduced price from the NCSU Bookstores. See the NCSU Bookstore website for pricing and a downloadable copy of the purchase agreement.

Authorized Uses

Software acquired through one of the Microsoft agreements is restricted to use by students, faculty and staff on any computers covered by the agreement.  Use on personally owned machines is only available under the Student Select Agreement and certain Campus Agreements
