The Information Technology Division (ITD) at NC State often has full-time job opportunities for technology professionals. ITD advances the academic mission of the university by providing commodity IT services for the campus and by supporting leading-edge development work in networking and computing. Job opportunities in the Information Technology Division include:
- ResNet Technician (going to students' rooms to fix network and virus problems)
- Help Desk Consultant (responding to a variety of problems via telephone, email and in person)
- Hardware Services Technician (swapping machines in the labs, fixing major hardware and software problems, reinstalling systems)
- Classroom Technology Technician (responding to a classroom when an instructor is having trouble with a piece of equipment)
