Accident Procedures

For immediate help, call Public Safety:  5-3333 or 911 (from a campus phone).  They have training in emergency medical care.  A Communications Officer will answer the call and take appropriate action.  A Public Safety officer will arrive at the scene, as well as Fire Department Emergency Medical personnel.

If it is not an emergency, the supervisor should call Blue Ridge Primary Care before sending an employee for treatment.

Monday-Thursday,   8 a.m. - 7p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Sunday, closed

If Blue Ridge Primary Care is closed, go to the nearest health care facility.

WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER THE ACCIDENT--
Submit 3 accident report forms,
"First Report of Injury," "Worker Compensation Form 19," and "Employee Statement" to the Environmental Health and Safety Center (EHSC).
