College or Departmental Distribution - Microsoft Campus Agreement
Colleges or departments that purchase licenses via Campus Agreement can distribute the software to faculty and staff for installation on covered institution computers using the methods below. All media must be acquired from a Microsoft approved fulfillment source.
- Load the software on a secured site and have eligible faculty and staff download the software to their machines.
- Have faculty and staff bring their computers to a central location designated by the university and download from the campus network or CDs.
- Set-up a library checkout system for CDs for faculty and staff.
- Replicate CDs for faculty and staff. (See Replication Rights below.)
- Purchase individual CDs to distribute to your faculty and staff. You can obtain CD pricing information from your reseller.
For information on distributing media to faculty and staff members for Work at Home use, see Work at Home - Microsoft Campus Agreement.
Replication Rights
Your Campus Agreement gives you the right to acquire
the quantity of media necessary to distribute the software
to your users for installation on covered
institution computers. This includes the right to replicate
media acquired from a Microsoft approved fulfillment
source. All such copies must be true and complete copies,
including copyright and trademark notices.
You do not have the right to replicate media for Work at Home use.
If you acquire volume licensing media through your reseller, it may be labeled with information that prohibits copying or replication. Due to the special rights granted under your Campus Agreement, you can disregard this instruction and copy media as permitted by the terms of your agreement.
