Subscribing to the LISTSERVs
| What's a LISTSERV? | "An automatic mailing list server developed by Eric Thomas for BITNET in 1986. When e-mail is addressed to a LISTSERV mailing list, it is automatically broadcast to everyone on the list. The result is similar to a newsgroup or forum, except that the messages are transmitted as e-mail and are therefore available only to individuals on the list." | To Subscribe: | Evaluators can add themselves to the Evaluators' listserv by sending an email to lyris@nsf.gov with the subject line of subscribe iucrc-evaluators.
Center Directors can add themselves to the Directors' listserv by sending an email to lyris@nsf.gov with the subject line of subscribe iucrc-directors. Center Managers and Operations personnel can add themselves to the Operations/Managers' listserv by sending an email to lyris@nsf.gov with the subject line of subscribe iucrc-om. NOTE: Once this is done, the user will get an email from the listserv asking them to reply to confirm the action. |
