Spring has sprung, and it's time to talk about our indoor plants! Brush up on basic skills, plant needs and tips to grow your indoor jungle during Houseplants 101 with The Houseplant Hippie.

Led by Kay Leggett, local houseplant specialist, we will cover topics such as tropical plant care, sunlight exposure and fertilizer, some history and origin, proper soil for each plant and correct watering techniques. Demonstration on basic indoor plant care, identification of common issues, how to repot a plant and basic propagation will also take place during the workshop. Make sure to bring your questions with you, we will hold plenty of space for a Q&A.

If you have houseplants that need freshening up, bring it with you to the program. We will have a potting station set up and will be happy to guide you through the process with your plant. Make sure to include the optional supply fee in your registration to be participate. Limit two plants, no larger than 8-10" diameter container.

About The Houseplant Hippie

Kay Leggett

The Houseplant Hippie, Kay Leggett has always had plants as part of her life. Her family has made their living for three generations selling plants and spreading their knowledge and love of plants to others. After pursuing other passions including training to be a professional dancer in NYC, Kay came back to her roots and love of houseplants to create The Houseplant Hippie. What started as a mobile truck and pop up houseplant sales has grown into a woman-owned business of interior plant specialists that offer workshops, interior plant design, houseplant maintenance, and wedding and event plant designs.

    

Cost
$20 per participant for the class lecture. Additional $10 supply fee to participate in the repotting experience.

Advance registration is required. Register through our registration e-store.

Registration is considered complete when payment is received. You will receive a confirmation receipt from notify@cashnet.com when registered.

Cancellation
Program cancellations can be made up to two weeks prior to the program's start date. No refunds will be made after this time. A 15% cancellation fee applies.
