For those of you who have never been to a Friends lecture, try it, you'll like it. Lectures are easy to find with ample lighted parking about 200 feet from the door. We have drawings for many free wonderful plants at every lecture. Come early to socialize and enjoy coffee and cookies before the lectures.
Important: Beginning with the Friends of the Arboretum lecture on 2-19-98, there will be a $5.00 fee for non-members. The lectures will continue to be free to those with current membership. Please bring your membership card. We will have a current membership list at the door should you need a replacement card. Memberships will be available for purchase at the door. Entrance is free to all NC State students with ID.

May, 1998 (Saturday) – Spring Garden Tour to benefit Arboretum
The Federated Garden Clubs of North Carolina in Wake and Franklin
Counties will sponsor a Spring Garden Tour on Saturday, May 9th
to benefit the education center of the JC Raulston Arboretum at
NCSU. Six private gardens will be open to the public from 10:00

Edith Eddleman and Doug Ruhren: Propagation and Design with
Herbacious Perennials
Back by popular demand, this all day workshop at the Arboretum
features Doug talking about and demonstating popagation techniques
in the morning. After lunch, Edith will discuss perennial design
allowing plenty of time to walk through the perennial borders
with both Edith and Doug.
