Herbaceous Perennials
Southern gardeners once believed that we couldn't grow "perennials" in
the South. They were reserved for northeastern United States and British gardens. To
this, we say nay! At the JCRA we grow over a thousand different kinds of herbaceous
perennials.
Many of these plants go dormant in winter and re-emerge from the same roots the next season. Others flower during the chilly months, providing year-round interest.
