    Notices

President Biden’s Executive Order 14042 and subsequent guidance issued by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force requires covered employees of federal contractors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

NC State is a leading research university with active federal contracts, and is subject to these requirements. As a result, applicants seeking positions determined to be covered by the federal directives must have received their final COVID-19 vaccination dose in the single or two-shot series by January 4, 2022, or by their first day of work, whichever is later, unless they request and are approved for a university-approved medical or religious accommodation. An individual is fully vaccinated two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series, or two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine.

NC State will notify applicants who must meet the vaccination requirement during the recruitment process, and it is the applicant’s responsibility to meet the requirements by providing proof of vaccination or by obtaining an exemption.

See NC State’s Protect the Pack website for more information on the university’s employee vaccination requirements.
