How Do I Apply To A Major
Whether you are a current NC State student or are applying for admission to the University, you need to know that you must apply to an individual College and major. Each College has specific criteria for admission and so you may be competitive for admission to one College but not another. We encourage you to review this information carefully before making a choice.

• Print the curriculum change form
• Make an appointment with the Coordinator of Advising and he/she will guide you through the process.

I'm Ready to Apply to NC State as a Freshman:
- Read the Freshman Admissions Process and Requirements Web page. Also, scroll down to check the Admission Criteria for the College in which you are interested in applying.
- Review the Freshman Profile of the most recent class admitted to NC State. This includes: average SAT/ACT score, gpa, class rank, etc.

- Contact an adviser in Advising Central by clicking on the Virtual Adviser button or calling 515-5594 to make an appointment. The adviser will review your academic options and assist you with planning your course schedule until you are able to change your major.
