Frequently Asked Questions

Are refunds available?
All Parents & Families Weekend packages and football tickets are non-refundable.

Are administrative offices/departments open during Parents & Families Weekend?
Normal business hours for University departments and offices are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Can I register over the phone?
No, unfortunately we are unable to process registrations via phone. All registrations for Parents & Families Weekend are processed online only.

What is the additional fee?
All registrations incur a $17.00 registration fee for processing. This is a mandatory fee to be charged per purchase/transaction, regardless of the number of tickets you are purchasing for the various events you will only be charged this fee one-time at check out.

What does the processing fee include?
Parents & Families Weekend is self-funded. The processing fee covers registration, equipment rentals and other overhead expenses.

Can we bring family members/siblings who are under two years old?
Children two and under are permitted into Carter-Finley Stadium without a ticket, but are required to sit on their parent/guardian's lap.

When will I receive my tickets?
Tickets will be sent via US Postal Service approximately ten days before Parents & Families Weekend. Please make sure you provide an up-to-date address when you register for Parents & Families Weekend.

Can we have our student pick up my packet from your office?
No, all tickets will be mailed to parents approximately two weeks before the event.

What if I don't receive my confirmation packet?
If you do not receive your packet in the mail, please notify the Office of Parents & Families Services at 877.568.5733. We will put together another packet for pickup on Friday, September 27 (during business hours) or on Saturday at our pre-game being held in Hospitality Areas 12-17 (the grassy knoll) nearest to gate D.

What should we do if we left our confirmation packet at home?
If you find out before 4:30pm on Friday, please contact the Office of Parents & Families Services at 919.515.2441. If after 4:30 pm on Friday, you will need to stop by the Parents & Families Weekend check-in station by the grassy knoll held in Hospitality Areas 12-17, nearest to gate D, for assistance.

How do we get our tickets if we arrive after the pre-game event?
You will need to go to the will call window located at Gate 8 at the Carter-Finely stadium.

Where will my seats be?
To best accommodate the greatest number of families, Athletics provides a block section of seating in the stadium. Unfortunately we do not have any way of requesting or changing the location of seats but rather offer Wolfpack camaraderie during this event.

My student has a student ticket. Will we be able to sit together?
No. Students receive general admission seating in the student section. If you would like for your student to sit with the rest of the family, you will need to request a student package when registering for Parents & Families Weekend.

Can my family purchase just tickets to the football game?
The Office of Parents & Families Services does not process registration for football tickets ONLY. If you would like tickets for the football game only, please secure tickets through the student-ticket distribution. If tickets remain after the student-ticket lottery, students may purchase up to two guest tickets during the "on demand" period which takes place September 3. Go to for details.

Can I purchase an additional student event packet for my child's roommate/friend?
Yes, as long as you stay within the number tickets allotted for each family. Students must present a valid student ID to get into the stadium.

What if I only want to purchase football tickets for my student?
If you are not attending Parents & Families Weekend, but your student is interested in attending the football game, students should go to, click on student tickets, and follow the process for student-ticket distribution.

Can my student get his/her football ticket through the Office of Parents & Families Service?
Student's ticket to football game is free with their student's id card. If you would like for your student to sit with the rest of the family during the football game, please indicate on your registration by checking the student event package.

What should I do if football tickets allotted to the Office of Parents & Families Services have sold-out?
Please contact the NCSU Athletic office 919.865.1510 to inquire about ticket availability for the general public.

I do have tickets to the game. Can I purchase tickets to the pre-game event?
Yes. If there are tickets still available to the event, we invite you to please go online to purchase tickets to the pre-game event as well as other Parents & Families Weekend sponsored events.

Why is there no meal during the pre-game event this year?
Parents & Families Services has worked diligently to revamp all of our events and publications. Parents & Families weekend is launching a new look and feel and we strive to be intentional about supporting our students and constituents of NC State University. There will be food available on site to purchase and we encourage all of our guests to purchase food in the stadium. The Office of Parents & Families Services is a service office not a profit organization and we want to lend our support to the many vendors and departments that support our athletics during this annual event.

Do I need to bring food and drinks to the pre-game event?
No. Several vendors will be on site during this event, we encourage you to take advantage of one of these many options.

Can we bring alcohol to the pre-game event?
No. Parents & Families Services does not permit alcohol consumption or possession of any kind at our pre-game event. Any persons who are or appear to be intoxicated or have alcohol of any kind in his/her possession will be asked to leave the premises. Alcohol is prohibited inside the stadium.

What time is the game?
Kick-off is announced by the Athletic Department approximately 10 days before the game.

Besides the pre-game event, is there anything else to do before kickoff?
Yes. Set aside some time before kick-off to visit the Wolfpack Fan Zone. Located on the front lawn between the PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium, the Fan Zone activities offer something for every age group.

When will the stadium parking lots open on game day?
All NC State controlled lots will open five hours prior to kick-off.

Where is handicap accessible parking for Carter-Finley Stadium?
All handicap spaces surrounding Carter-Finley Stadium are given out as annual parking passes to season ticket holders, and assigned based on Wolfpack Club priority. On game day, handicap customers can park at Cardinal-Gibbons High School and ride the shuttle over to and from Dail Plaza North. This shuttle runs every 15 minutes with drop off between the PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium. It will NOT take fans to the West or East entrance gates.
